Weddings and Elopements Congratulations on choosing to get married to the one you love! Marriage is an enriching and life changing event. For many it's the first step to a lifetime of compromises. For many couples, one compromise to work out now is the cost of a wedding or elopement. I am a non-denominational ordained minister with the Universal Life Church. I provide a simple, informal civil ceremony in a private setting or I can come to a location of your choice. Weddings can be done at any time of the day or night. Walk up weddings are performed at our location for a flat rate of $75. If you would like us to come to your home or location of your choice, we charge a flat rate of $100. In these instances, you would have to book the ceremony at least 24 hours in advance. We will travel to residents within the Houston city limits, including Alief, Westchase, Sugar Land and Katy. For all other locations, please call us for rates. Payment by cash or check is required at time of services, exact amount only. Tips are welcome. Children and guests are welcome to attend, however no witnesses are needed. To be married by us at our location, follow the simple steps below: 1. Obtain your marriage license from the county clerk of any county in Texas. 2. There is a waiting period of 72 hours after obtaining a marriage license before a wedding can be held. The license is only good for 30 days. Active military personnel may obtain a waiver for the 72 hour waiting period. 3. Contact us to let us know when you would like to have the ceremony take place. 4. Come to 10001 Westpark #44 in Houston. This is the Sunridge Villas Complex. Please be sure to bring picture ids for both parties, the marriage license, and payment. **We are not a wedding chapel.** 5. I will officiate the ceremony. 6. Once done, you and your beloved are ready to begin your life together.

WEDDING FAQS
1. How do I obtain a wedding license? Contact any county clerks office. Texas marriage licenses are valid in any county regardless of where it was issued.
2. How old do I need to be to get married? Without a parent's consent, both parties must be at least 18 years old. With a parent's consent, you must be at least 16 years old.
3. Is any kind of counseling required before getting married? No, counseling is not required, although it is recommended. Not having the counseling will not stop us from marrying you.
4. Will you marry couples of different faiths? Yes. Please keep in mind that we perform mainly simple, non-religious and non-spiritual ceremonies.
5. Can we write our own vows? Definitely. Many couples wish to express their love for each other in their own words. Just let me know in advance if this is what you would like to do. If you decide to go with the common vows, you will have a chance to choose which ones are right for you. Samples of vows can be found here.
6. I am recently divorced. Is there a waiting period? Yes. You must wait at least 30 days after the divorce is final before you can get married again.
7. Can my children be in the ceremony? Most definitely. Whether they are just watching or are the flower girl / ring bearer, children are encouraged to be a part of the ceremony. From personal experience as a single mother, including the children makes them feel welcome and included in the relationship you have developed with their parent.
